We Are

A professional organization formed in 1989 to advocate and support quality educational programs for students in the Chicago Public Schools.

  • For the last 25 years we advocate, support and pursue: Excellence and equity in educational opportunities for Hispanic students and educators.

  • We provide members with:  A forum for the presentation and discussion of issues that affect Hispanic educators, students and communities.

  • In 2021 we awarded  five  undergraduate  scholarships to future Latino teachers. We honored three retirees and two administrators for their outstanding contributions.

  • This past year we held Zoom meetings.  We are planning to have in-person meetings starting in September 2021.
