Farewell

June 28, 2020

Dear NHAE Community:

It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as president of the Network of Hispanic Administrators in Education for the past 9 years. With the support and hard work of my colleagues on the executive board, Judy Sauri, Maria Fresse-GIffels, Veronica Iturralde, and Terri Campos, NHAE’s record of accomplishments expanded on the work of previous boards to include: increased membership, networking opportunities, mentoring, principal preparation sessions, collaboration with like-minded organizations, advocacy work, and increased scholarship awards.

Last week the outgoing executive board witnessed the virtual installation of the incoming NHAE board, and I am extremely confident that the work of the organization will continue to expand under the leadership of Antonio Acevedo, Terri Campos, Maria Fresse-Giffels, Nelly Robles, and Elba Iñiguez. I ask that you continue to stay engaged and support the work of NHAE on behalf of securing quality and equity of programs and services for Latino educators, students, and communities.

Thank you for the work that you do and for your commitment to the communities you serve. I look forward to the next in-person NHAE event!

Be safe.

Sincerely,

Ana Espinoza
